Benjamin Hoyer

Ben is a born and raised Colorado native. He is honored to use his training and talents to give back to the people of the State he calls his home. In university, Ben studied philosophy and neuroscience. During his studies, Ben was captured by the ancient Greek tragedies of Sophocles and Euripides. He appreciated that these stories of travesty revealed truths about self-transformation, realization, and the nature of justice.

While seeking a Ph.D in philosophy, Ben became restless with his academic pursuits and decided to pivot to a J.D. in law. Ben attended the University of Wyoming College of Law under a Tuition Waiver scholarship.

While at UWYO, Ben received the prestigious American Bar Association’s Janet D. Steiger Fellowship, was a finalist in the WTLA Voir Dire Competition, was the President of the Wyoming Trial Lawyer’s Student Chapter, authored a law review article on trucking law, and clerked for two judges. Ben graduated with honors and was admitted to practice in Colorado shortly thereafter. 

When Ben encountered personal injury practice for the first time, he was inspired by the opportunity to assist clients in securing resolutions to their tragedies through empathy and storytelling. 

Prior to joining Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers, Ben worked with some of the best-known trial lawyers in the country. Because of these experiences, Ben has developed an interest and aptitude in trucking accidents in particular. Ben believes the effective prosecution of a personal injury case begins with a human emotion: empathy. He brings compassion and sincerity to every case. He is honored to be entrusted with his client’s stories and works intently to tell them accurately and persuasively to a favorable resolution. 

Ben is a Denver sports fan. When he is not representing his clients, he is at home with his lovely wife and boys. He is an avid fly-fisherman, bluegrass guitarist, and runner.
