Benjamin Hoyer
In university, Ben studied philosophy and neuroscience. During his studies, Ben was captured by the ancient Greek tragedies of Sophocles and Euripides and how stories of travesty could house such moving arcs of transformation, realization, and justice. After graduating in 2012 with honors, Ben continued his studies, earning an M.A. in theology in 2019.
Wanting to do practical good in people’s lives, in 2020, Ben became restless with his academic pursuit of a Ph.D in philosophy and decided to pivot to a J.D. in law. In 2021, Ben attended the University of Wyoming College of Law under a Tuition Waiver scholarship. While at UWYO, Ben received the prestigious American Bar Association’s Janet D. Steiger Fellowship, authored a law review article on trucking law, and clerked for two judges. Ben graduated with honors in 2024 and was admitted to practice in Colorado shortly thereafter.
It was during law school that Ben encountered personal injury practice for the first time. During his first personal injury trial, he was inspired by the opportunity to represent people in the demanding circumstances of their injury and loss. He was energized about the mission of assisting clients in securing resolutions to their tragedies by bringing something meaningful and just out the chaotic and unjust through empathy and storytelling.
Prior to joining Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers, Ben worked with some of the best-known trial lawyers in the country. For Ben, the effective prosecution of personal injury begins with a human emotion: empathy. He brings compassion and sincerity to every case. He is honored to be entrusted with his client’s stories and works intently to tell them accurately and persuasively to a favorable resolution.
Ben is a born and raised, Colorado native and a Denver sports fan. When he is not representing his clients, he is at home with his lovely wife and boys. He is an avid fly-fisherman and bluegrass guitarist.
