Dan Hilton

Dan is an Associate Attorney at Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers, where he brings a relationship-driven approach to his practice. With a deep belief in the power of empathy and clear communication, Dan helps clients navigate life’s most challenging moments with confidence and care. His path to becoming a lawyer was nontraditional. Fluent in Spanish after living in Spain, Dan began his career as a teacher in Spanish immersion classrooms before moving into sales and ecommerce management in Colorado’s ski industry. Ultimately, he chose law as a way to advocate for people injured through no fault of their own.

Dan’s past work experiences have sharpened his ability to connect with people from all walks of life, solve problems creatively, and build trust—skills he now channels into his law practice.

Born and raised in Colorado, Dan earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and an LL.M. in International and European Business Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid, Spain. He also holds a B.A. in English from Hamilton College in New York.

Dan is a proud member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Denver Bar Association, and the Colorado Bar Association. Outside the office, Dan is an avid skier, cook, and musician who enjoys playing pétanque and watching futbol. He is also a struggling bonsai enthusiast. Most of all, Dan loves spending time with his wife and daughter, who are his greatest sources of joy and inspiration.
