Zaner Law Proudly Sponsors the KOSI 101.1 Teddy Bear Patrol Safety Zone This Weekend

When a child finds themselves in the back of an ambulance or standing outside a home that’s just gone up in flames, the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference. A soft, new stuffed animal, handed over by a first responder in the middle of a frightening moment, can turn panic into a little bit of peace. That’s the entire idea behind the KOSI 101.1 Teddy Bear Patrol — and this Saturday, September 12, Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers is honored to help bring its final drop-off celebration to life right here in the Denver metro area.

We’re proud to sponsor the Zaner Law Safety Zone at the culminating event for this year’s Teddy Bear Patrol, and we want our clients, neighbors, and friends across Denver to join us.

What Is the KOSI 101.1 Teddy Bear Patrol?

For years, KOSI 101.1 has partnered with local fire departments, police agencies, and first responder organizations to collect new stuffed animals that get placed directly into emergency vehicles across the region. When first responders arrive on the scene of a car accident, a house fire, or another traumatic event involving a child, they’re able to hand that child a teddy bear — something familiar and comforting in a moment that is anything but ordinary.

It’s a simple idea with an outsized impact. Every bear donated becomes a small anchor of calm for a child on one of the hardest days of their life, and every drop-off event brings the community together around a cause that’s easy to rally behind: supporting kids and the first responders who protect them.

This weekend marks the finale of this year’s drive, and Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers is stepping up to host a Safety Zone that gives Denver families a fun, meaningful reason to participate.

What to Expect at the Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers Safety Zone

We wanted our sponsorship to be more than a logo on a banner. The Zaner Law Safety Zone is built around free, practical services and family-friendly activities that reflect what we care about most: keeping people safe on Colorado roads. Stop by and enjoy:

  • Free tire pressure and tread depth checks — a quick, no-cost way to make sure your vehicle is road-ready heading into the fall driving season
  • First responder vehicle tours — get an up-close look at the trucks and equipment used by the local heroes who respond when things go wrong
  • Face painting for kids of all ages
  • A chance to meet the KOSI 101.1 team in person

Whether you’re dropping off a stuffed animal, getting your tires checked, or just looking for a fun Saturday morning activity with the kids, there’s something for the whole family.

Why This Cause Matters to Us

At Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers, we spend every day helping people who’ve been hurt in car accidents on Colorado’s roads — often at the most difficult moments of their lives. That work has given us a close, ongoing relationship with the first responders, paramedics, and firefighters who are usually the first ones on scene. We see firsthand how much of a difference small acts of comfort can make for the families they serve.

Supporting the Teddy Bear Patrol felt like a natural extension of that mission. It’s a chance to give back to the first responder community that works alongside us, and to invest in something preventative and positive rather than something reactive — a rare and welcome opportunity in personal injury work. It’s also simply a chance to be present in the Denver neighborhoods we’re proud to call home, outside of a courtroom or a client consultation.

How You Can Help

You don’t need to be a client, and you don’t need to buy anything expensive — a new stuffed animal from any store shelf is enough to make an impact. Here’s how to get involved this weekend:

  1. Pick up a new stuffed animal (in its original packaging, if possible).
  2. Bring it to EAS Tire & Auto in Littleton on Saturday, September 12, between 10 AM and 1 PM.
  3. Stop by the Zaner Law Safety Zone for a free tire check, a first responder vehicle tour, and some family fun while you’re there.
  4. Say hello to the KOSI 101.1 team and help us send this year’s Teddy Bear Patrol out with a strong finish.

If you can’t make it in person but still want to support the cause, consider sharing this post with friends and neighbors in the Littleton and greater Denver area — the more bears collected, the more kids who get a moment of comfort when they need it most.

We hope to see you there this Saturday. It’s a small ask that adds up to something meaningful for the kids and first responders in our community.
And if you or someone you love has been injured in an accident on Colorado’s roads, our team is here to help — contact Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers or a free consultation.
